Madhu Kolagatla

As Chairman and Managing Director at HK Marines, Madhu Kolagatla leads the company's mission to produce the highest quality, sustainably raised shrimp while supporting the local community and protecting the environment. With over 30 years of expertise in successful shrimp farming, he has overseen the growth of HK Marines from humble beginnings to a production capacity of over 500 tonnes annually, sourcing shrimp from all over the world.

Madhu started HK Marines in 1994, driven by a passion for sustainable aquaculture and a commitment to excellence. Under his leadership, the company has implemented innovative and responsible farming practices that promote the health and well-being of both shrimp and the planet. His vision for HK Marines is to set the standard for sustainable aquaculture practices in the industry and to educate consumers about the importance of responsible food choices.

In addition to his role at HK Marines, Madhu is a serial entrepreneur with a rich career in various industries. He was a giant in the early Indian telecom industry, serving as one of India’s largest Nokia distributors through his company 5 Star Trading, which was also one of South India’s largest distributors of TATA and Idea cellular SIMs. He was one of the co-founders of CARzy, which became South India's largest car accessories showroom . He also runs Meenakshi Constructions, a prominent construction company in Visakhapatnam.

Madhu holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Andhra University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Advanced Management. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to quality have made him one of Visakhapatnam's leading business figures.
